Kelly Clarkson is an American musician and singer who was the country's love interest after winning the American Idol title in the initial season of the show. It was not just the winning that ushered Kelly Clarkson's name to the forefront as it also secured her an agreement in partnership with RCA Records 19 Recordings & S Records to release a variety of albums. From her first appearance in the series, she has released a number of albums. From those, three reached number one on the US Billboard 200. The other albums came close to the top spot. She's among the most popular stars to come out of American Idol. In order to achieve success she experimented with different music styles and experimented on themes. As a result of her uniqueness and skill as a performer, she was praised by reviewers and was awarded a couple of important award. The most notable accomplishment is the fact that she was awarded the Grammy Award three times. Apart from her professional career in music, she's also seen on TV and in film. She is also the author of the children's novel River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and involved with many charities.
